Sandwich Sudoku

Sanwich Sudoku is a  Sudoku puzzle variant that comes with an additional twist. In this puzzle, you’ll encounter numbers placed outside the 9×9 grid, acting as valuable hints. These extra numbers provide essential clues about the sum of digits between 1 to 9 in the corresponding row or column.

The rules are straightforward: Along the outer edges of the grid, you will find numbers that indicate the total sum of digits that are found in between the numbers1 to 9, within the respective row or column. However, the challenge lies in how you use this information to solve the puzzle.

Your task is to fill in the grid with numbers from 1 to 9, adhering to the classic Sudoku rules. Each row, column, and the 3×3 sub-grids should contain all the digits from 1 to 9 without any repetition. Additionally, you must ensure that the sum of digits within the row or column, as indicated by the numbers outside the grid, matches the given sum.

The combination of standard Sudoku rules and these additional sandwich clues makes solving Sandwich Sudoku an unique challenge for Sudoku enthusiasts.
